A guide to special measures we are taking against COVID-19
COVID-19 has brought several changes. To ensure the health and wellbeing of all our clients, here at Pavigym we have taken several special measures with regard to hygiene and disinfection. Check out here the special measures we are taking!
We want to make sure our operations are as clear and transparent as possible in order to help you understand how we are ensuring the safety of everyone involved with Pavigym and PRAMA at this difficult time whilst still receiving and fulfilling orders and requests from all over the world.
PAVIGYM SPECIAL MEASURES AGAINST COVID-19
1. Safe and hygienic production
Our production and logistics teams are all using necessary individual protection equipment such as masks and gloves to ensure that they are safe and at minimal risk of contagion. This also guarantees a more hygienic final product, with a greatly reduced possibility of contamination during the production process.
We have also implemented social distancing policies in the factory, further reducing the risk of contamination. And to further support this, we have positioned the machines used for production a minimum of 300m2 away from each other. These measures ensure both the safety of our team and guarantee the safety and hygiene of the final product that our partners receive.
To add to these measures, we have also increased cleaning efforts, with the entirety of the installations being cleaned a minimum of four times per day. As part of the cleaning process, we have also introduced a process of disinfection.
2. Contributing to fight against COVID-19
Our activity in the factory has been redirected to produce special protective face masks, made of Pavigym’s EVA. Besides avoiding the spread of viruses, EVA
is antifungal and antibacterial.
3. Disinfected products
Once your new flooring leaves the production line, we clean and disinfect each individual tile in order to ensure there is no risk of them carrying any trace of COVID-19.
4. Anti-viral packaging
Before leaving the factory, the tiles are packaged in cardboard.
A New England Journal of Medicine study published 21st March 2020 that analysed the resistance of COVID-19 on different surfaces found that the virus dies within the first 24 hours on cardboard, as opposed to the 72h resistance found on other surfaces such as plastic or metal.
This ensures that any margin for error is covered, with the virus not being able to survive once packaged and sent to our delivery partners. It also prevents contagion from outside parties during the delivery process, giving you peace of mind when you receive your order.
5. Special cleaning and disinfection guidelines for clients
We have also developed specific cleaning instructions and disinfectant product guides for our clients and partners to ensure that they can keep every tile as safe and hygienic as the moment it leaves the factory throughout its life.
6. All services operational
On top of the measures we have taken on site, our office teams are working from home, guaranteeing their safety and preventing the spread of the virus while also keeping all services operational for our customers and partners. While this pandemic lasts, we will continue to offer all our usual services during our standard schedule in order to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with within 24 hours and that all orders are processed and fulfilled as usual.
We hope this serves to help you understand what we are doing to keep you and our team safe while still being able to offer you the best service and best quality flooring possible. And as always, if you have any questions or doubts, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
